Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist near Saint Peters, MO. This position offers hands-on involvement within a dedicated district setting, covering a 12-week FMLA leave, with the possibility of extending if needed. Your work will be on-site, contributing to student growth and classroom success. Your primary responsibilities will involve working with a diverse school-age caseload in the Normandy area. You'll collaborate with educational teams, assess student needs, and implement individualized therapeutic plans that foster participation and achievement in the school environment. With a 37.5-hour workweek and a supportive school community, you'll positively impact students daily lives.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license in Missouri Previous experience within a school or pediatric setting is preferred Ability to adapt and communicate effectively with students, families, and teachers Strong organizational and documentation skills Familiarity with IEPs and educational frameworks Completion of all district-required credentialing processes, including fingerprinting and submission of TCN number Willingness to complete and return a technology agreement form
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with each IEP Collaborate closely with teachers, family members, and other support staff Monitor student progress and maintain thorough records Consult on strategies for increasing access and participation in daily activities Embrace the chance to make a difference in the Normandy school community while broadening your professional experience.
