An Occupational Therapist helps patients with injuries, illnesses, and disabilities recover, improve, or develop skills needed for everyday activities. Assists people with mobility impairments to move easily around their homes; develops school and workplace settings that are accessible for individuals with physical or mental disabilities. May specialize in certain types of impairments or certain categories of patients.
As an Occupational Therapist with Special School District (SSD), you will help students develop the skills they need to participate more fully in learning, school routines, and everyday activities. Working alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, you will identify barriers to student success and create individualized strategies that foster greater independence, access, and confidence in the educational environment. Through thoughtful assessment, consultation, and therapeutic intervention, you will empower students to build the functional skills that support meaningful progress toward their goals. Your expertise will help create more inclusive learning experiences, ensuring students have the foundation they need to reach their greatest potential. We are seeking a part-time therapist to serve students parentally placed in private schools, parochial schools, and homeschool programs in St. Louis County through SNAP (Special Non-Public Access Program).
