Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting PreK-12th grade students. Located in a vibrant community near Asheville, NC, this role enables you to make a meaningful difference in students' lives while building your OT expertise across school and healthcare settings. Working full-time at 37.5 hours per week, you'll collaborate with educators and caregivers, ensuring students develop the skills needed for academic and personal success.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license Experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare OT preferred Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a variety of ages and developmental levels Strong communication and documentation skills Comfortable working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Compassionate, flexible, and organized approach Previous work with PreK-12th grade students a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and school policies Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student progress Provide recommendations and training for accommodations or adaptive equipment Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in a timely manner Contribute to IEP meetings and support seamless communication among stakeholders Travel between schools as needed to serve caseload This contract begins as soon as possible and extends through June 8, 2027, offering stability and the chance to form lasting connections within the educational community.
