Desired Skills and Experience:
Current Occupational Therapist licensure in North Carolina Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation Proficiency in assessment and implementation of interventions for students with diverse needs Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to their individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' strengths, needs, and eligible services Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, monitor, and adjust treatment goals Document progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports Deliver consultative support to educators and families to support student success in the classroom Promote skill development in areas such as self-regulation, motor coordination, and adaptive functioning
