Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students from PreK through 12th grade on a school-based assignment near Weaverville, NC! This full-time position offers the chance to apply your Occupational Therapy skills in a dynamic educational environment dedicated to student growth and development. As an Occupational Therapist in this school-based setting, you'll support a diverse caseload, providing direct and consultative services, collaborating with educators and other specialists, and creating individualized treatment plans that help students thrive both academically and in daily life skills. Your expertise will make a crucial impact across a wide age range, from early childhood to high school seniors.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license Experience or strong interest in school-based OT services Comfortable working with students from PreK-12th grades Proven ability to administer evaluations, develop IEP goals, and implement therapy plans Adaptable communicator who collaborates well with multidisciplinary teams Prior experience in home health or healthcare OT settings beneficial
Responsibilities Include:
Conducting assessments and developing individualized therapy plans Delivering direct and indirect therapy services in accordance with student IEPs Collaborating with teachers, families, and related service providers Monitoring progress, documenting outcomes, and adjusting strategies as needed Supporting access to learning by helping students build functional and academic skills Engaging in team meetings and contributing to a supportive school community This contract runs ASAP through June 8, 2027 and offers a consistent 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to make a real difference while maintaining work-life balance.
