Essential Responsibilities Evaluate children's developmental, sensory, motor, cognitive, and functional abilities to identify strengths, challenges, and individualized therapy needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that support participation in daily activities, school readiness, play, self-regulation, social engagement, and overall independence. Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions focused on fine motor development, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and activities of daily living. Empower children and families through education, coaching, and practical strategies that promote success across environments. Collaborate closely with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, behavioral health providers, physicians, educators, and caregivers to coordinate comprehensive care and achieve shared goals. Monitor treatment progress, adjust intervention plans as needed, and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and outcomes tracking. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and collaborative treatment planning. Support successful transitions between therapy, school, home, and community environments through coordinated discharge planning and caregiver education. Foster a positive, engaging, and welcoming therapy environment that encourages growth, confidence, and meaningful participation for every child. Qualifications & Skills Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an Occupational Therapist. Strong knowledge of pediatric development, anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based occupational therapy practices. Experience working with children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing differences, neurological conditions, and other pediatric diagnoses. Ability to develop creative, individualized treatment approaches that address each child's unique strengths and needs. Strong understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs), sensory integration principles, motor skill development, self-regulation, and functional participation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to building strong relationships with children, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment while maintaining a high level of clinical independence and professional judgment.
