Joint & Spine is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our patient-centered practice in Waldwick, NJ. Our collaborative healthcare team includes chiropractors, physical therapists, and a nurse practitioner who work together to provide comprehensive care and exceptional patient outcomes. Position Overview As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions designed to improve daily living skills, upper extremity function, fine motor coordination, cognitive performance, and overall independence. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings. Provide therapeutic interventions focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, cognitive rehabilitation, and upper extremity strengthening. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate patients and family members regarding home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and strategies for improved independence. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress. Collaborate with chiropractors, physical therapists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Participate in team meetings, continuing education activities, and occasional community outreach programs.
Qualifications Required:
Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the State of New Jersey. Strong knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices and rehabilitation techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Strong organizational and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred:
Previous outpatient rehabilitation or orthopedic experience. Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
