This role focuses on conducting Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) and providing evidence-based occupational therapy treatment to patients recovering from work-related injuries, orthopedic conditions, and other functional limitations. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals safely return to work and daily activities while delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive Functional Capacity Evaluations to assess physical abilities, work tolerance, and functional limitations Analyze job demands and compare findings to patient capabilities Prepare detailed, objective, and timely evaluation reports Provide recommendations regarding return-to-work status, work restrictions, and accommodations Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and functional goals Deliver skilled interventions to improve strength, endurance, mobility, coordination, and functional performance Educate patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, body mechanics, and return-to-work strategies Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Current New Mexico Occupational Therapist License Other Skills, Abilities and Requirements:
Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a bonus Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems Ability to travel between Albuquerque and Santa Fe Clinics Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a highly engaged orthopedic rehab team.
