Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity bringing essential OT services to students across all grade levels, from Pre-K through 12th grade. This full-time role supports a robust district-wide program, serving approximately 40 students and working closely with educators and families. Experience a healthy work-life balance with a 4-day schedule from Monday to Thursday, 8AM-4PM. Utilize your expertise to provide critical interventions and support student development in an engaging teletherapy and on-site environment. You'll also use your leadership skills by supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), ensuring quality care and teamwork.

Key Qualifications:

Current Occupational Therapy license issued by the State of New Mexico (required) Experience providing occupational therapy services in educational or school settings Comfortable delivering both teletherapy and in-person OT services Ability to work across a broad age range, from early childhood through high school Strong organizational and communication skills Leadership abilities to supervise and mentor a COTA Commitment to collaboration with teachers, admin, and families for student success

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver evidence-based OT evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring for students Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to diverse student needs Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic student support Consult with staff and families, providing resources and guidance to maximize student outcomes Oversee and guide the daily work of the assigned COTA, ensuring best practices Enjoy a meaningful full-time schedule that allows for focused student engagement while offering extended weekends.
