Desired Qualifications:
Current licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience in school-based OT services preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and educational staff Knowledge of IEP process and familiarity with educational documentation best practices Commitment to ethical standards and fostering student independence
Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services tailored to students' unique developmental and educational needs Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) Consult and collaborate with teachers and staff to support classroom strategies and accommodations Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward therapy goals Advocate for student needs and help facilitate inclusive learning environments Engage families to encourage carryover of strategies and skills beyond school As part of this vibrant academic setting, you'll find meaningful collaboration and opportunities for professional development.
