Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical occupational therapy, with expertise in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans across diverse settings. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient independence, supporting recovery, and improving quality of life through evidence-based interventions. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and needs. Develop personalized treatment plans aimed at improving daily living skills, motor functions, and cognitive abilities. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including self-care, mobility, and adaptive techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless patient management. Implement occupational therapy programs tailored to specific populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities. Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition back to home or community settings. Engage in client communication to educate patients and families about therapy goals and progress. Contribute to clinical interprofessional collaboration by sharing insights on physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to patient care. Participate in case management activities to monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment strategies accordingly. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist with relevant state or national authorities. Proven experience working across various settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric occupational therapy, including early intervention and school-based services. Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology pertinent to occupational therapy practice. Ability to develop effective treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and client-specific needs. Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management and clinical documentation standards. Skilled in assisting with ADLs, discharge planning, case management, and implementing occupational therapy programs for diverse populations including geriatrics and those requiring physical rehabilitation or post-acute care services.
