Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This permanent Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a newly established specialty pharmacy focused on GLP-1s, allergy medications, and immunotherapies. Located in Las Vegas, this growing pharmacy was recently built to insource compounding operations previously outsourced, presenting a unique chance to shape operations from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the designated PIC, ensuring full compliance with USP, FDA, and state board regulations Oversee sterile compounding operations, including managing workflow, personnel, and quality assurance Ensure adherence to multi-state pharmacy regulations, particularly California and other non-resident states Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding Recruit, supervise, and train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Manage inspections, audits, and all regulatory interactions Oversee environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation programs Guarantee proper storage, handling, and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations Collaborate with leadership on operational strategies, licensing, and expansion initiatives Maintain accurate records and ensure ongoing inspection readiness Qualifications /Desired Experience:
Active Nevada license required; California license highly preferred due to significant business presence there Minimum of three years' experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings Strong regulatory knowledge and experience in sterile compounding operations Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills Willingness and ability to obtain additional pharmacy licenses as business grows Residency in Las Vegas preferredSchedule:
Monday through Friday, day shifts This direct hire role offers excellent salary potential starting around $170,000 annually, with $10,000 in annual incentives.
