Islandwide Full Time Executive 1 year exp Medical / Therapy Services $3,500to$4,200 Monthly 0 applicationPosted 02 Jul 2026Closing on 01 Aug 2026 Roles & Responsibilities Purpose of the Job The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing and improving clients' ability to perform daily activities, enhance cognitive function, and promote independence in a day care or day rehabilitation setting. Key Responsibilities 1. Client Assessment & Care Planning Assess activities of daily living (ADLs), cognition, and functional independence Develop individualised occupational therapy care plans Participate in interdisciplinary assessments 2. Therapy Intervention Train clients in ADLs such as dressing, bathing, eating, and grooming Provide cognitive stimulation and memory strategies Recommend and train in use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices Conduct individual and group therapy sessions 3. Home & Environmental Modification Assess home safety and recommend environmental modifications Advise caregivers on safety and functional adaptation strategies 4. Programme Development Develop cognitive, functional, and psychosocial rehabilitation programmes Plan meaningful activities including leisure, social participation, and gardening programmes 5. Care Coordination & Communication Work closely with multidisciplinary team and care staff Provide functional progress updates to families and caregivers Participate in care conferences and discharge planning 6. Staff Training & Support Train care staff on safe ADL assistance and dementia communication strategies Provide guidance on activity adaptation and cognitive engagement techniques Qualifications and Experience Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy Registered with the relevant professional board (e.g., Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore) Good communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and client-focused approach Experience in community care or eldercare settings is preferred
