Qualifications and Skills:
Valid Occupational Therapist license for New York State Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong knowledge of best practices in school-based OT services Ability to design and implement effective therapy sessions for elementary-aged children Compassionate communicator with strengths in collaborating across multidisciplinary teams Organizational skills to manage caseload documentation and session planning efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine OT needs as part of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Deliver hands-on therapy in both individual and small group formats Address diverse sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skill needs Develop, implement, and update treatment plans in line with each students goals Maintain accurate records and contribute progress notes for each client Consult with teachers, families, and staff to generalize strategies across school settings Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and professional development as required Why Consider This Opportunity?
