9602987-11106 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students throughout the full upcoming school year, providing occupational therapy services in a dynamic educational setting near Astoria, NY. This contract role offers the chance to work with a diverse elementary population as well as a smaller high school caseload, making a true difference in students daily lives. Youll manage two full-time elementary caseloads and one part-time high school group, focusing on 1:1 OT sessions. With a total of 55 sessions per week, youll work closely with students ages 514 who have a range of disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other genetic conditions. Your expertise will support academic engagement, functional skills, and the overall well-being of each student.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New York Previous experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, particularly those with disabilities Familiarity with individualized education program (IEP) processes and documentation Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
Responsibilities:
