School Occupational Therapist | Penfield, New York Soliant - 3.9 Penfield, NY Job Details Permanent | Full-time | Contract $36.70 - $56.70 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, serving elementary students from kindergarten through fifth grade. You'll be supporting a vibrant school community near Penfield, NY, providing essential services during a key transition period. This assignment is expected to last 30-45 days, with potential for extension as the district completes its permanent hiring process. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
New York State Occupational Therapy license required Prior experience working within school systems, preferably at the elementary level Comfortable with IEP processes, direct student intervention, and consultative services Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with teachers, staff, and families Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver therapeutic OT services to K-5 students in both individual and group settings Assess student needs and develop goal-oriented treatment plans Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state guidelines Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers, helping integrate OT strategies into general education settings Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, assisting with IEP development and updates This position offers the chance to make a real impact in young students' lives while working in a supportive, collaborative environment.
