GENERAL DESCRIPTION SOS
is seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Occupational Therapy with a focus in hand therapy and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative and patient focused environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Assess and evaluate patients with hand injuries, conditions or disorders to determine functional limitations, impairments and treatment goals; Provide hands-on therapy interventions to address pain management, swelling reduction, range of motion restoration, strength and coordination improvement, and functional activities of daily living; Educate patients and their families on hand anatomy, injury prevention strategies, home exercise programs and adaptive techniques to optimize recovery and promote independence; Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients; Document patient evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans and outcomes accurately and time in accordance with regulatory standards and practice policies; Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations and ethical standards governing occupational therapy practice and patient care; Other responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the essential functions: Current and unrestricted NYS Occupational Therapist license; A current and valid Hand Therapist certification preferred; Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program; 1-2 years of occupational therapy experience preferred; BLS or CPR certification; A passion for Hand Therapy, hand anatomy and patient care Excellent communication and customer service skills

This is an "in office" position in a safe work environment This position requires periodic travel to and between practice locations and related companies, as needed and required.
