Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping individuals of all ages regain independence and improve their quality of life through personalized therapy interventions. Whether working in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, schools, or home health environments, you will utilize your expertise to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Your energetic approach and commitment to patient-centered care will drive positive outcomes and foster a supportive healing environment. Duties Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine appropriate therapy goals and interventions Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), discharge planning, and rehabilitation strategies Provide hands-on therapy sessions focusing on improving mobility, coordination, strength, and functional skills across diverse populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from acute care or ICU stays Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, speech therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions across settings like skilled nursing facilities, post-acute care centers, or outpatient clinics Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment use, safety procedures, and strategies for maintaining progress at home or school environments Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations Participate in case management activities including discharge planning and goal setting for optimal recovery outcomes Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; licensure or certification as required by state or country regulations Proven experience working in geriatrics (long-term care, skilled nursing facilities) Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy practice Experience assisting with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility training Familiarity with case management processes including discharge planning and treatment coordination Ability to work effectively in acute care environments such as ICU or hospital units; experience in home health or outpatient clinics is highly desirable Excellent communication skills for collaborating with patients' families and multidisciplinary teams Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care with a positive attitude and energetic approach Join us in making a meaningful difference by empowering individuals to achieve their highest potential through expert occupational therapy services. Pay:
$45.00 - $60.00 per hour
