Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid and current Ohio Occupational Therapy license (OH OT) Experience within school settings supporting K-8th grade students highly valued Skilled in evaluating student needs, developing IEP goals, and implementing therapeutic interventions Comfortable collaborating with teachers, parents, and other multidisciplinary team members Committed to fostering student independence and functional performance
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students (caseload: 12-15) Assess students needs, strengths, and challenges through standardized tests, observations, and teacher/parent input Develop and update IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines Monitor student progress, document sessions, and adjust plans as needed Collaborate with educational staff and families, providing strategies and support to maximize student success Hours range from 16-28 per week, spread over 2-5 days
