Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role supporting students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in a rewarding school-based environment near Marion, OH. This contract opportunity is perfect for an Occupational Therapist passionate about helping young learners build skills for academic and personal success. Enjoy a flexible schedule, working two days per week during the fall, with the term running from August 24, 2026, to October 7, 2026.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Current Occupational Therapy licensure with credentials recognized in school settings Previous experience or training in pediatric or school-based OT preferred Familiarity with creating and implementing individualized therapy plans Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families Ability to work effectively with diverse student groups, including those with special needs

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct occupational therapy services for a caseload consisting of pre-kindergarten through third-grade students, tailoring interventions to individual strengths and needs Deliver consultative services for one group of eight students in kindergarten through fifth grade, supporting and coaching teachers and parents Participate in meetings, contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and document student progress in alignment with school policies Employ evidence-based strategies to promote students' fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills within the educational environment
