Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist working with students in a supportive educational environment. This position is ideal for professionals dedicated to helping learners achieve their fullest potential through tailored therapy and collaboration with teachers and families. The assignment runs from October 22 through December 21, offering a steady schedule of four days per week, totaling 32 hours each week.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Active OT license required Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans Comfortable working with children from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' therapeutic needs Design individualized intervention plans to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive functioning Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, counselors, and other therapists Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting Provide consultation and training for staff and caregivers as appropriate Maintain compliance with state and federal education guidelines Experience the fulfillment of working closely with students while enjoying a consistent, manageable schedule.
