1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1+ years of OT experience and prior LTC or Rehab experience. Details Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility setting Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts Flexible start times between 6 AM and 10 AM, consistent and coordinated with Director of Rehab No weekend requirements On-call schedule to be determined by facility Work with patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders Requirements Active OT license required (license required if applicable) Minimum 1+ years of OT experience required LTC or Rehab setting experience required New grads considered if they completed Level II fieldwork experience One reference required at time of consideration Compact license not accepted Additional Information Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions Provide treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document per regulatory and clinical requirements Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers Communicate regularly with supervisors and other members of the healthcare team Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and accurately record treatment minutes Participate in required meetings, trainings, and in-services May supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehab aides, and/or students Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics standards Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested
