Job Description

Pediatric Occupational Therapist 120 SW Crowell Way, Bend, OR 97702 From $56.25 an hour - Full-time From $56.25 an hour - Full-time Blossom Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Registered Occupational Therapist to provide evaluation and treatment to children within a private outpatient setting. Blossom Therapeutics is a family centric OT practice. We believe in supporting the whole family to provide the best outcomes. In this role, you would be part of a collaborative team of professionals passionate about helping others live their best lives. Though this is a full-time position we encourage those seeking part-time to apply. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants with pediatric experinece also encouraged to apply. Hourly rate calculated based on level of education and years of pediatric experience. This position is a unique opportunity to do cutting-edge work with a growing team of family centric occupational therapists who understand and support individual development, sensory processing differences, and the importance of a trusting relationship for growth and learning. We believe "behaviors" are information and are meant to be interpreted to better understand a child's intent and/or internal experience. It is our responsibility as developmental OT's to interpret the "what" and "why" of behaviors. The results are limitless with emotional and individualized multi-sensory support and an engaging and meaningful curriculum! Your Role on our
Team:
As a member of this dynamic team, your role is to provide evaluations, therapeutic intervention within individual outpatient sessions, collaborative cotreats, group therapy and caregiver support/coaching. Applicants certified in DIR/Floortime will be given priority in the application process. All clinicians will receive training in DIR/Floortime and FAN (Facilitating Attuned Interactions) Registered Occupational Therapists with pediatric experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Acknowledge and reflect on the child's feelings and behavior in a caring, professional and respectful manner.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited program with a degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in Oregon, or obtaining.
  • Current CPT/BLS certification
  • Experience in occupational therapy. New graduates will be considered.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Understanding of HIPAA law and regulations.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively with others in a team-based environment.
  • Must be able to project enthusiasm and a sense of fun into their therapy/teaching environment.
  • Must be willing to work in a flexible and ever-changing environment.
  • Must possess basic computer skills for record-keeping and correspondence.
  • Ability to work well as a team and independently.
  • Interested in working with children.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Use of a variety of tools and equipment such as lifts, pulleys, etc.
  • Good critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Social perceptiveness and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement.
