In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs to enhance patients' functional independence across diverse settings. Your expertise will support individuals of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, helping them regain skills and improve quality of life through targeted therapeutic interventions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in both clinical and community environments, fostering recovery and well-being. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities using established occupational therapy techniques. Develop tailored treatment plans that align with each patient's goals, medical conditions, and functional needs. Deliver hands-on therapy sessions in inpatient, outpatient, clinic, or community settings, utilizing manual handling techniques and physiology knowledge to optimize outcomes. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive strategies, and safety procedures related to occupational health and weight handling in the workplace. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans, ensuring seamless integration of occupational therapy within broader treatment protocols. Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and clinical notes using medical terminology for accurate record-keeping. Ensure safety protocols are followed during therapy sessions by adhering to CPR standards and occupational health guidelines. Qualifications Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist with a strong background in pediatrics, geriatrics, inpatient care, outpatient services, or post-acute care environments. Demonstrated expertise in anatomy and physiology to inform effective treatment strategies. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required to ensure patient safety during interventions. Hands-on experience with manual handling techniques and weight handling in various workplace settings. Familiarity with clinical settings such as clinics or hospitals specializing in sub-acute or post-acute care is highly desirable. Technical proficiency with therapy tools and documentation systems to streamline patient management processes.
