Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and making a positive impact on their daily lives. This role offers the chance to start part-time (1-2 days per week) as soon as possible, with hours increasing to full-time (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM) when a staff member goes on maternity leave in October 2026. The assignment runs through January 2027, allowing for continuity of care during a pivotal period.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Experience in school-based, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy OT settings Familiarity with elementary through high school students and a variety of developmental and pre-vocational needs Strong documentation skills, including the ability to follow and implement IEPs Effective communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Adaptability to changing caseloads and ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct OT services to a diverse caseload of students, currently 21 and expected to increase Address a wide range of student goals: self-care (buttoning, zippering), life skills, pre-vocational tasks, handwriting, cutting, shoe tying, and personal hygiene Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers and support staff Conduct assessments and document progress toward short- and long-term goals using organized note sheets and established schedules Support ongoing caseload shifts as new IEPs are developed If you thrive in dynamic school environments and are passionate about supporting students' growth and independence, this opportunity offers structured support and a meaningful career experience.
