Job Description

Milestone Physical Therapy is a growing company seeking to expand our services throughout Bedford, Somerset and Blair County. We provide outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies for adults and children, as well as early intervention. We offer flexible scheduling and a competitive salary in addition to a supportive team owned and operated by a physical therapist. We provide skilled, individualized services for our patients. This position can be tailored to fit your interests. We are seeking an occupational therapist to assist with a growing caseload throughout Bedford, Blair and Somerset county for early intervention. This is a part time position, you can choose the number of cases and your territory and make your own schedule. The Physical Therapist in early intervention provides services in a natural setting for children from birth to three who qualify.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine their occupational therapy needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to patients, including exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment
  • Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing their conditions and maximizing independence
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills:
  • Pediatrics:
    Specialized knowledge and experience in providing occupational therapy services to pediatric patients
  • Physiology knowledge: Understanding of human physiology and how it relates to occupational therapy interventions
  • Patient service: Strong focus on providing excellent patient care and customer service
  • Case management: Ability to effectively manage a caseload of patients, including coordinating care with other healthcare professionals and ensuring timely documentation
  • Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of human anatomy and how it relates to occupational therapy interventions Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of skills required for the position of Occupational Therapist.
