In this role, you will provide specialized occupational therapy services to children across various settings, including outpatient clinics and home health environments. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for pediatric patients to evaluate their physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that address each child's unique needs. Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence. Support children with neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder through targeted interventions and skill-building strategies. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery. Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining thorough clinical documentation. Participate in discharge planning and case management to ensure smooth transitions across care settings or educational environments. Conduct occupational therapy assessments in various settings including outpatient clinics and home health visits. Provide education to families and staff on strategies to support ongoing development and integration of therapy goals into daily routines. Engage in clinical interprofessional collaboration to optimize patient care outcomes across disciplines. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania. Demonstrated experience working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders support and early intervention programs. Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy assessments and treatment planning. Proven ability to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs using evidence-based practices. Familiarity with medical terminology related to pediatrics and neurodevelopmental conditions. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) management and clinical documentation standards. Excellent client communication skills combined with the ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
