Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity providing occupational therapy services to students in grades K-8. This contract position runs from now through the end of the school year, offering part-time hours with a consistent weekday schedule. Located near Landenberg, PA, you'll work 30 hours per week during school hours, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. In this role, you'll support a caseload of eight students, ages 6-11, with weekly services. Two additional students are pending evaluation. Four students on your caseload are autistic, so experience or enthusiasm for working with children with autism is highly valued. The school fosters a collaborative environment, allowing you to focus on providing impactful, individualized care.
Desired Background:
Current Occupational Therapy license for the state of Pennsylvania Experience serving school-aged children, especially grades K-8 Familiarity with diverse diagnoses, particularly autism spectrum disorder Comfort with both direct therapy and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to create, implement, and adapt IEP goals
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy—primarily weekly sessions—to students ages 6-11 Evaluate potential new referrals and participate in assessment processes Develop individualized treatment plans and progress reports in line with IEPs Coordinate with teachers, special educators, and families to ensure student success Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives, all while enjoying supportive colleagues and a manageable caseload.
