In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized occupational therapy programs that enhance patients' independence and quality of life. Your expertise will support clients with developmental delays, sensory needs, neurological disorders, and chronic conditions, ensuring comprehensive care that promotes functional growth and well-being. Duties Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical goals and patient needs, incorporating evidence-based practices. Implement targeted occupational therapy interventions to improve daily living activities (ADLs), motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions. Assist clients with discharge planning by coordinating care transitions and providing education on home modifications and adaptive strategies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and case managers—to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Support pediatric clients with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders / disabilities, and occupational health cases through specialized therapy techniques. Experience Proven experience working in diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, home health environments, or school-based programs. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric occupational therapy—including early intervention and working with students with disabilities or special education needs. Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical documentation standards necessary for effective case management.. Skilled in implementing occupational therapy programs for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders or other disabilities. Proficiency in managing electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintaining detailed clinical documentation to ensure continuity of care. Strong client communication skills to educate patients and families about therapy goals and progress while fostering a supportive environment.
