Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as an onsite Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational setting. Located near New Oxford, PA, this position focuses primarily on work within an elementary school environment, with additional responsibilities at a nearby high school. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about making a meaningful impact on students' development and independence.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist certification, required at the time of application. Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy is highly valued. Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational skills and adaptability for shifting between elementary and high school environments. Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in a school setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services for students from Pre-K through high school, focusing on improving functional independence and participation in academic activities. Assess students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to address motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive functioning. Consult with teachers and staff to support students' goals and progress within the classroom. Maintain meticulous documentation of evaluations, interventions, and student outcomes in compliance with district and state guidelines. Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that empowers each student to reach their potential. This is a full-time, 35-hour per week, onsite contract position scheduled from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, starting as soon as possible through May 28, 2027. The majority of your time will be within the elementary school, with select responsibilities at the high school as needed.
