9595092-19464 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with young learners ages 3 to 5, where your expertise in occupational therapy can make a lasting difference. This position, based near Pottstown, PA, is ideal for those who are passionate about supporting children's growth and educational journeys within a supportive school setting.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist, with school-based experience strongly preferred Previous experience or knowledge working with early childhood populations (ages 35) Familiarity with the IEP process, goal writing, and progress monitoring Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary education teams Strong assessment, planning, and documentation abilities
Role Responsibilities:
Provide both direct and indirect occupational therapy services to young children, tailored to their individual educational and developmental needs Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to assess students current skills and determine eligibility for services Participate and contribute in MDE and IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations with educators, specialists, and families Develop, implement, and adjust individualized education program (IEP) goals, tracking students progress and making necessary revisions Serve as a knowledgeable resource for teachers and families, offering strategies for classroom integration and home carryover Maintain clear records and provide detailed reports in accordance with school and state requirements In this role, youll help set a strong foundation for future success by equipping young students with meaningful skills.
