Job Description

Welcome to Sigma Therapy Team We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with patients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life. This role involves assessing patients' needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions in various settings, including clinics and inpatient facilities. A strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy is essential, along with experience in case management and discharge planning. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their functional abilities and needs. Develop and implement tailored care plans that address the specific goals of each patient. Provide direct patient care through therapeutic activities designed to enhance physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients, including those with autism or other developmental challenges. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, progress, and home exercises to support recovery. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in compliance with medical standards. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving from inpatient care to home or outpatient services. Skills Proficient in case management practices and the development of effective care plans. Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy. Familiarity with anatomy and physiology as it pertains to patient rehabilitation. Experience working in clinical settings, including ICU or inpatient environments. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals on the autism spectrum. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases and maintaining detailed records.
