Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a contract opportunity in a vibrant educational setting, supporting students and making a genuine impact in their daily lives. This part-time Occupational Therapy position invites skilled professionals to collaborate within a supportive school environment near West Chester, PA, with a quick start and service extending through the end of the school year. Working 30 hours per week during school hours (8:30 AM-2:30 PM), you'll engage directly with a dedicated caseload of elementary-aged students, ages 6-11. Currently, you will provide weekly OT services to eight students, four of whom are autistic, with two additional students scheduled for upcoming evaluations. The campus serves children in grades K-8, ensuring your work helps a diverse group of learners maximize their functional success in the classroom.
Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy licensure for Pennsylvania. Previous experience in pediatric or school-based OT preferred. Familiarity working with students with autism is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Ability to adapt interventions to meet individualized student needs. Competence in documentation and progress monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services per students' IEP goals. Conduct assessments and participate in evaluating new referrals. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' progress. Keep accurate records and timely reports. Contribute insights and service recommendations during team meetings. Foster a positive and motivating environment for student growth.
