Overview Expressive Speech and Voice Therapy is an SLP-owned private practice based in Naperville seeking to add a part-time OT(2-3 days/week) to the Elgin team. This position provides the opportunity to work with both pediatric and adult patients across different settings. This is a hybrid role that involves delivering occupational therapy to children, adolescents and adults in a private therapeutic day school and the option to provide therapy in a private practice setting as well. The role is somewhat customizable depending on the goals and skills of the individual therapist. • Conduct assessments to identify students' and clients' physical and mental capabilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans to help clients improve their daily living skills
• Provide therapy to clients, focusing on areas such as pediatrics, outpatient care, and speech therapy
• Educate treatment team and their families on techniques to enhance independence and well-being
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Requirements
• Successful completion of a program approved by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• State licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Prior experience with pediatrics or an educational setting is preferred
