Job Description

Embrace a flexible, impactful opportunity as a part-time virtual occupational therapist working with students across grade levels in Louisiana! This short-term contract offers engaging work, focusing on re-evaluations, preschool assessments, and supervisory responsibilities, all conducted remotely. Youll play a key role in supporting both students and a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), ensuring seamless services throughout the district.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current, active occupational therapy license in Louisiana Experience conducting OT assessments and re-evaluations for children of various ages Previous supervision of COTAs (required) Strong understanding of school-based OT frameworks and IDEA requirements Confident with virtual platforms and remote service delivery Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform occupational therapy re-evaluations for students across multiple grade levels Conduct PreK evaluations, primarily scheduled on Fridays Provide dedicated supervision for a COTA, supporting high-quality, compliant therapy delivery Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Coordinate schedules and maintain professional communication with school staff and families Ensure ongoing supervision services for the COTA even after the contract period, with potential for an ongoing arrangement This role is ideal for a licensed OT seeking a flexible, virtual contract focused on both hands-on evaluations and leadership through COTA oversight.
