New Orleans:
one caseload, three settings, zero monotony If you've ever felt boxed in — same room, same routine, same four walls all year — this isn't that job. Kim4Kids is hiring a full-time pediatric occupational therapist for a genuinely hybrid role across three settings: a charter school, a private school, and our private outpatient clinic. Same kids, different environments, real variety in your week. About Kim4Kids We're a pediatric therapy practice serving the greater New Orleans area. We work where kids actually are — in their classrooms, in our clinic, and in partnership with the families and teachers around them. We're small enough that you'll know everyone's name and big enough that you'll never run out of interesting cases. We believe therapists do their best work when they're trusted to make clinical decisions, not when they're managed into a corner. About the Role This is a hybrid position built around three settings: Charter school — school-based OT services, IEP support, classroom and teacher collaboration Private school — direct services and consultation in a smaller, close-knit school community Private outpatient clinic — evaluations and treatment with families who chose you, on a schedule you help shape The split flexes with the caseload. We build the schedule with you, not at you — if a site needs more of you one semester and less the next, we adjust together. What You'll Do Evaluate and treat pediatric clients across school and outpatient settings Write and support IEP goals; collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams Carry an outpatient caseload with real autonomy over your treatment approach Coordinate with our SLP, PT and entire therapy team so kids get consistent care across settings Help shape how our OT program grows — including subspecialty areas you care about What You'll Get Schedule & Lifestyle Full-time, Monday-Friday Schedule built collaboratively and flexed by caseload — no rigid, handed-down calendar School-based days follow the school calendar In person across multiple New Orleans metro sites Growth CEU and license reimbursement Room to build out a pediatric specialty you're passionate about Mentorship and a team that actually talks to each other Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company matching Paid time off and paid holidays CEU and license reimbursement Who This Is For You like variety and want your week to look different on Tuesday than it does on Thursday You're comfortable being the OT in the room — collaborative, but able to run your own clinical decisions You enjoy the school-based side: teachers, IEPs, and meeting kids in their real environment You want to help build something, not just fill a slot on a schedule Who This Is NOT For You want one setting, one room, and a schedule that never changes You'd rather not deal with school teams, IEP meetings, or classroom collaboration You need a large hospital system's infrastructure behind you to feel comfortable Requirements Active or eligible Occupational Therapy license in Louisiana Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between New Orleans metro sites Pediatric experience strongly preferred School-based experience a plus (we'll support you if it's new) Nice-to-Haves Pediatric specialty certifications (SI, feeding, handwriting, AAC-adjacent work) Experience with IEPs and school documentation Comfort learning a new EMR quickly — training provided
