Virtual Occupational Therapist - Rhode Island Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Johnston, RI Job Details Part-time | Contract $36.20 - $56.20 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A part-time Occupational Therapist is needed to provide telehealth services for a homebound student during the 2026-2027 school year. This position involves delivering occupational therapy sessions remotely, supporting the student's medical and educational needs within a school framework. The role requires collaboration with healthcare teams and educational staff to ensure continuity of care and progress toward individualized goals.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting occupational therapy evaluations and interventions via telehealth Developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to the student's needs Collaborating with educators, healthcare providers, and families to support the student's developmental progress Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining accurate reports Participating in meetings and updates related to the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) Desired qualifications and experience: Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials to provide telehealth services Experience in school-based occupational therapy and healthcare settings Familiarity with telehealth technology and platforms used in therapy Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to engage effectively with children in a virtual environment
Location:
Telehealth services based in Johnston, RI, supporting a student in Providence, RI This contract position requires availability for one session per week, approximately one hour per session. Candidates committed to providing quality occupational therapy services remotely are encouraged to apply. Compensation for this position ranges from $36.20 to $56.20.
