9600321-29550 Job Description Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide direct services to a group of 12 students in grades 1 through 5, enabling you to focus on each childs unique needs and developmental goals. The position is based at a single location, creating consistency and the opportunity to foster strong relationships with the students and their educational team.
Role Highlights:
Deliver 5.5 direct service hours per week, allowing for personalized, focused interventions Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student participation in school activities Assess students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors to help them access the curriculum Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans based on students IEP goals Create engaging activities to improve self-care and classroom performance skills Maintain detailed records of services provided and progress data Start as soon as possible, supporting continuity of care and early intervention
What Were Looking For:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in a school or pediatric setting Knowledge of school-based OT approaches and familiarity with the elementary age group Comfort adapting strategies to meet individual and group needs Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially with multidisciplinary teams Ability to maintain accurate documentation and meet compliance requirements Flexibility and a positive attitude to support a collaborative school environment Make a difference in the lives of students while developing your professional skills in a supportive, well-organized educational setting.
