Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist can make an immediate impact. This position offers the chance to support a dedicated Early Learning Assessment Team and work closely with preschool-aged children during a maternity leave coverage. The assignment runs from December 1 through March 24 for four days each week, with a 7.5-hour daily schedule, allowing for a balanced routine and consistent engagement with your students.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active South Carolina LLR credential required Background in school-based Occupational Therapy, particularly with preschoolers Experience assessing and addressing various developmental domains in young children Strong report writing and communication skills Must be available for in-person work throughout the assignment duration
Core Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Early Learning Assessment Team to conduct comprehensive evaluations of preschool-aged students Utilize a range of assessment tools and observation techniques to identify OT needs Develop clear, concise evaluation reports detailing findings and recommendations Communicate findings effectively with educators, families, and fellow professionals Maintain organized records in line with program policies and best practices This contract-based position offers you the opportunity to work a consistent weekday schedule, with weekends free, and enables you to dedicate your expertise to early intervention during a pivotal time for young learners.
