Job Description

Qualified applicant must be eligible for registration as an Occupational Therapist with the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists or successful completion of the National Certification Examination and current State of Tennessee Occupational Therapist License. The successful candidate will assist the Special Education Director to provide department oversight and support the occupational therapy staff with assessing students' functional physical development level; planning and implementing appropriate treatment to meet individual student objectives; identify architectural barriers; provide recommendations for accessibility, program development, and student placement; serve as liaison to contracted Occupational Therapy service providers; and assessing primarily preschool student evaluations countywide. (A full job description is available upon request.) This is a full-time, 220-day position with insurance and retirement benefits. Salary will be determined by comparable work experience and placement on Grade 6 of the Salaried Classified Personnel Salary Schedule.
