Full Job Description Role Overview:
The Occupational Therapist plans and provides occupational therapy for patients with temporary or permanent disabilities, aligning treatments with professional standards and organizational values.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts initial patient assessments and develops treatment plans. Implements therapy interventions based on assessments and written plans. Monitors patient progress through observation and documentation. Provides education tailored to patient-specific rehabilitation needs. Identifies opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Tennessee. Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, colleagues, and external professionals. Ability to work independently, organize tasks, and exercise judgment. Physical ability to perform duties, including standing, lifting, and patient contact.
Additional Information:
No prior work experience preferred. May provide guidance to therapy assistants. Must be capable of handling physical demands and emergency situations while maintaining patient safety and care standards.
