Job Description
Methodist Health System seeks a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. In this mission-driven, faith-based environment, you will assess functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to improve independence in daily activities. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document care in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals Provide therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, IADLs, strength, and mobility Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and adaptive strategies Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team on coordinated care Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in EMRRecommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications Participate in care conferences and discharge planning Adhere to regulatory, ethical, and hospital standards of practice Contribute to a mission-driven, patient-centered, faith-based culture Required Skills Occupational therapy evaluation Treatment planning ADL and IADL training Neuromuscular rehabilitation Orthopedic rehabilitation Patient and family education Electronic medical record documentation Interdisciplinary care coordination Functional mobility training Discharge planning
