Occupational Therapist (School-Based) - Full-Time North of Houston, TX | Hybrid Schedule | $60-$70/hour The Tallest Trees is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a supportive public school team located north of the Houston area beginning September 2026 . This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who enjoys evaluations, collaboration, and program oversight rather than carrying a daily therapy caseload. Position Highlights Full-time school-based position Start date: Early September 2026 Competitive hourly rate: $60-$70/hour , based on experience Hybrid schedule: 3 days on campus 2 days virtual for evaluation/report writing duties Work hours: 7:45 AM - 3:30 PM Supportive special education team Six campuses within the district Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for students receiving special education services Complete comprehensive evaluation reports and documentation Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation planning and eligibility meetings Supervise two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) Provide consultation to school staff and families as appropriate Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings. In-person attendance is preferred. If attending virtually, active participation with camera on is expected. This position is evaluation-focused. The two COTAs provide direct therapy services, allowing the OT to focus on evaluations, supervision, and collaboration. Qualifications Current Texas Occupational Therapist license Minimum of one year of school-based occupational therapy experience required Experience completing school-based evaluations and writing evaluation reports Knowledge of IDEA, special education processes, and ARD participation Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Why Join The Tallest Trees?
