Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide intensive, individualized inpatient rehab to adults recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, trauma, and complex medical conditions. In our patient-centered, collaborative environment, you will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and deliver goal-driven therapy focused on functional independence, safety, and quality of life. You'll work closely with an interdisciplinary team, use advanced rehab technology, educate patients and families, and participate in ongoing clinical education and professional growth. Responsibilities Evaluate patients and develop individualized, evidence-based OT treatment plans focused on functional goals. Deliver intensive, hands-on therapy for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, trauma, and complex medical conditions. Train patients in ADLs, functional mobility, use of adaptive equipment, and energy conservation strategies. Collaborate daily with an interdisciplinary rehab team, including PT, SLP, nursing, and physicians, to coordinate care plans. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress in the EMR accurately and in a timely manner. Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and strategies to promote independence after discharge. Participate in team conferences, goal setting, and discharge planning to ensure safe, appropriate transitions of care. Contribute to quality improvement, clinical education, and implementation of best practices in rehabilitation.
