Position Overview Our Client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join its growing rehabilitation team. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with residents recovering from illness, injury, or disability by helping them develop, regain, or maintain the skills necessary for daily living and independent functioning. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team committed to improving patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Patient Evaluation & Treatment Planning Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans designed to improve or maintain daily living and work-related skills. Continuously assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate. Therapeutic Interventions Assist patients with activities of daily living, including: Dressing Grooming Eating Functional mobility Develop and implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Help patients regain independence through functional rehabilitation techniques. Adaptive Equipment & Education Educate patients on the use of adaptive devices and assistive equipment, including: Wheelchairs Prosthetics Orthotics Other adaptive technologies Provide education and ongoing support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and home care strategies. Multidisciplinary Collaboration Work closely with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other rehabilitation professionals to provide coordinated patient care. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings. Contribute to achieving positive patient outcomes through collaborative treatment approaches. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely patient records. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, patient progress, and discharge planning. Ensure compliance with all applicable clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and facility policies. Required Qualifications Education Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy required. Licensure Current State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist required. Experience Experience working with patients who have physical, mental, or emotional disabilities preferred. Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience is highly desirable. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
