Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in an educational setting near Ashland, VA. This role focuses on providing occupational therapy services within a school environment, specifically aimed at early intervention. The assignment will run from as soon as possible through the end of October to cover a maternity leave, making it an excellent fit for professionals looking for a short-term, meaningful experience.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Virginia Occupational Therapist license (VA OT) required Experience delivering occupational therapy services within schools or to pediatric populations is preferred Familiarity with early intervention caseloads considered a plus Ability to collaborate remotely with teams, participate in panel or casual interviews, and accommodate a full-time schedule (hours to be confirmed) Strong communication skills and adaptability
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions to children in an early intervention caseload, supporting their participation and success in school environments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals Work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and professional ethical standards Participate in district-required onboarding and training as necessary
