Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make an immediate impact in the educational setting by bringing your skills as an Occupational Therapist to students who thrive with expert support. This contract opportunity allows you to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, offering tailored interventions designed to promote student success and participation within the school environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current OT licensure in Vermont or eligibility to obtain Demonstrated experience providing OT services to children or adolescents in a school or pediatric setting Solid understanding of IEP process and special education documentation Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans Excellent communication skills to consult effectively with educators, families, and other related service providers Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations, documenting students' functional abilities and needs Design and execute therapeutic activities to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate OT strategies into daily routines Document services, progress, and outcomes following school policies and federal guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, contributing assessment data and intervention recommendations Educate and provide resources to families and staff, fostering supportive home and school strategies Adjust interventions based on student response and changing needs This role offers the opportunity to grow professionally while positively shaping the school experience for students who benefit most from your expertise.
