Arlington Health and Rehabilitation is one of the last privately owned and operated skilled nursing communities around. We are a small facility with a mix of rehab and long term care residents. The employees at AH&R are spectacular, and work together as a team of friends. There is a dynamic food department and a fabulous and fun life enrichment department. Our residents are truly living their best lives! Arlington Health and Rehab is looking to hire a full-time or part time Occupational Therapist . The position is five days per week 8 hour shifts but would consider flexible scheduling at 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week, for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have experience in a SNF setting and have excellent social skills. We offer competitive pay and benefits. An applicant must have a current license, be able to pass a comprehensive background check, read and write English, and have excellent customer service skills. We offer very competitive pay that can be discussed at the time of an interview. We also reimburse annually for the cost of your license.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide hands-on therapy and exercises to improve patients' mobility, strength, and range of motion
  • Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
  • Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working with elderly patients or in a skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required
  • Ability to adapt and adjust as you are working in the resident home environment

  • Proficient in medical terminology related to occupational therapy
