We are dedicated to delivering high quality care and making a positive impact in the lives of students. We are currently seeking skilled Occupational Therapists to join our team on a contract basis and support schools.
Job Details:
Full time Elementary caseload
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities Collaborate with school staff and Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to develop individualized treatment plans and goals for students Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, visual-motor coordination, and self-care Adapt classroom environments, equipment, and materials to promote accessibility and facilitate student participation Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' care Document student progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information according to agency and school guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate goals and accommodations for students Stay updated on current research, best practices, and relevant laws and regulations in school-based occupational therapy
Qualifications:
Active Washington Occupational Therapy license Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Previous experience as a School Occupational Therapist is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and IEP team members How to
