School Occupational Therapist | Federal Way, Washington

Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist. Located within a welcoming school environment near Federal Way, WA, this full-time position spans 37.5 hours per week and offers the chance to collaborate across 4-5 campuses. Facilitate meaningful change as you empower students to overcome challenges, enhance their learning experiences, and achieve their educational goals.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Washington State Previous experience in a school-based therapy setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage a caseload across multiple locations (4-5 schools) Solid background working with K-12 students with a variety of needs Knowledge of IEP processes and compliance
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based OT services to help students succeed academically and functionally Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student progress Document services, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings Adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs and school environments Provide consultation and training for staff to maximize student inclusion and independence
